Coton Sport Sack Coach Alain Ouombleon From Ivory Coast who has received blames for the continuous defeats of the team

Coton Sport Sack Coach Alain Ouombleon

The young Franco-Ivorian coach pays the price for a run of poor results by last year’s beaten CAF Champions League beaten finalists. Alain Ouombleon, who was nominated by Confederation of African Football (CAF) as Coach of the Year, has been given the boot by Coton Sport of Garoua after a string of poor results. He has been replaced by his assistant, Haman Gabriel. Ouambleon, who doubles as the club’s general manager, led Coton Sport to the final of the 2008 CAF Champions League where they lost to Al Ahly of Egypt. However, their fortunes have dipped sharply this year. They were dumped out of the competition in the third round by Nigeria’s Heartland FC and have also lost out in the Cameroon FA Cup, which they won last year. They are currently six points behind leaders Tiko United in the Cameroon league.Ouombleon has blamed the team’s poor run on the exit of no less than six key players like Baba Sumaila since the end of last year. His contract was to have ended next June.
